Location
Hotel Cortijo Bravo is located 40mins away from Malaga. The closest town is Vélez. It is 15 minutes from the coast and 30 minutes from the picturesque seaside resort town of Nerja.
Places to stay
There are plenty of places to stay in Velez and surrounding area from boutique hotels to large villas. Our Hotel also has a sister hotel La Viñuela Hotel and Spa, around 15 minutes north of the venue.
Transport
Our hotel is happy to arrange taxis for guests but please let us know where you are staying in advance as they have also offered to put on a coach/party bus.
Local REcOMMENDATIONS
Malaga - famous for its seaside resorts, but also has a beautiful cathedral, historic castle and many museums. It's central market is a great spot to sample/bring home any local specialities.
Nerja - a beautiful traditional Andalusian town, with crystal clear seas and a famous cave (with the largest Stalactite in the world, if you're into that type of thing).
Mesón Ibérico - a small tapas restaurant in central Malaga with exceptional food (one of our favourites).
Andrés Maricuchi - simple freshly grilled seafood in Pedragalejo, lots of similar restaurants nearby.
El Caserío de las Monjas - local tapas restaurant in Velez.
Sea - the coastline is what brought us to this part of Spain and there are multiple beautiful beaches between Malaga and Nerja.
Mountains - Andalusia has stunning mountain ranges and multiple locations to hike or hire bicycles for the more adventurous of you.
Golf - our venue recommended the Añoreta Golf Resort, which is halfway between the hotel and Malaga.
